LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) works on a transmissive technology. LCD projectors project light onto mirrors which split it up into its 3 primary colours: red, green and blue. The colours then pass through three separate glass panels (actually prisms), which is why this technology is referred to as 3LCD. When light is projected through the LCD panels, individual pixels are opened or closed to allow light through or block it. The separate colours are then converged using another prism and projected on to the screen.
LCD technology is designed to project bright, clear and vivid images. LCD projectors are engineered for high light efficiency, improving image brightness, generating less heat, and costing less to run. They faithfully reproduce the visible color spectrum to deliver a true expression of color, with smooth gradations in the dark and light areas. With the use of 3 different panels of RGB , there is least color breakup and hence giving true & natural color image. This technology uses light more efficiently and provides greater impact to your presentations with excellent color luminance.
DLP (Digital Light Processing) works on an optical semiconductor known as the DLP® chip, which was invented by Dr. Larry Hornbeck of Texas Instruments in 1987. DLP chip is a reflective surface made of thousands of tiny mirrors. Each mirror represent a single pixel.
Single Chip DLP Technology – In a projector with a single DLP chip, colors are produced either by placing a color wheel between a white lamp and the DLP chip or by using individual light sources to produce the primary colors, LED’s or lasers.
3 Chip DLP Technology –
There are no color wheels and hence no rainbow effect. These projectors uses a prism to split light from the lamp, and each primary colour of light is then routed to its own DLP chip, then recombined and routed out through the lens. These are found in higher end home theatre projectors, large venue projectors and DLP cinema projection systems found in digital movie theatres.
Lasers are the future of projectors. Light generated with laser diodes inherently have a longer and more stable brightness level that decreases at a much slower rate than conventional lamp based systems. The laser technology offers the highest image quality while its operating life span far exceeds traditional lighting methods. WHY LASER?

RGB laser uses the so-called ‘pure laser’ technology. Red, green and blue lasers are delivered directly to the 3 DLP image chips.

High Gain Surface
When there is ambient light or brightness or if you are using low brightness projector then the screen with high gain are considered best for best of projection.
White Matt Fabric
Matt fabric are considered the best fabric for projection screens . It provides gain of around 1.0:1 which gives the reflection equal and diffuse lights in all directions uniformly at all angles. White matt fabric screens are considered best in a dark room where there is not ambient light. But the place where there is bright light , grey screen are preferred most .
Screen formats are determined by the specific aspect ratio of the screen. Aspect ratio is nothing but the fractional relation of the width of a video image compared to its height .
