Best-in-class Technology Projectors

LCD Technology

LCD stands for Liquid Crystal Display. These days most LCD projectors available in the market have three panels which help in separating the colours and later converge them so that they can be projected on the LCD screen.

Electrical signals turn on pixels within a set based on the resolution of the unit. LCDs are known to produce greater color definition, offering more shades or variations of color and hence are very popular among people.

Newer LCD projectors include special optic enhancers for example micro lens array.  With this you can get the “screen door effect” in simple terms helps to minimize pixelization of colours.

DLP Technology

DLP stands for Digital Light Processing. It was the brainchild of  Dr Larry Hornbeck from Texas Instruments. DLP uses a single digital mirror device  chip that has thousands of small mirrors, where each mirror represents a single pixel. To create the image these mirrors tilt back and forth to deflect light as indicated by its source.

In single chip DLP technology individual light sources are used to produce the primary colours. In addition to this colours can also be produced by placing a colour wheel between the white lamp and the DLP chip.

The 3 chip DLP technology gives you the best images of all. There are no rainbow effects created here since the colour wheels are absent in this technology. Instead a prism is used to split light from the lamp and each primary colour is routed to its own DLP chip.

Laser Technology Light-Source

Laser stands for Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation. Laser technology has been in use from a very long time in various industries and now it has made a presence in the world of projectors too. When used as a video projector light source, it emits the light coherently and thus solves the problem of the scattering light.  Laser produces only one colour and hence consumes less power and thus is more efficient.

The three most important technologies, laser phosphor, RB laser and RGB laser, are described below

Brands we work with

We provide you with bright and ready to use projection device from leading brands below.

Pure Laser Technology

RGB laser uses the so-called pure laser technology.

Red, green and blue lasers are delivered directly to the 3 DLP image chips.

Projection Screen

Installation of the projection screen is equally important when it comes to a projector. It should always be installed parallel to a wall for good projection and clarity of content.  Would you prefer inferior quality sound system in your car?

Of course no, then why should we degrade the quality of the projector by projecting it on a wall and not a projection screen.

Here comes Crystal to your rescue by providing you with an advanced screen quality of most renowned brands in the market.

Since there are so many varieties available we at Crystal would suggest you to discuss this with a technical expert and choose the right one according to your needs.

You can choose from the wide range of screen fabrics, screens of different viewing angle and tension and also screens of different formats to fit your need and usage of the same.

Projection Screen – Surface/Fabric

Some of the standard quality terms that Crystal adhere for right selection of screen:

High Gain Surface

When there is ambient light or brightness or if you are using low brightness projector then the screen with high gain are considered best for best of projection.

White Matt Fabric

Matt fabric are considered the best fabric for projection screens . It provides gain of around 1.0:1 which gives the reflection equal and diffuse lights in all directions uniformly at all angles. White matt fabric screens are considered best in a dark room where there is not ambient light. But the place where there is bright light , grey screen are preferred most .

Projection Screen - Aspect Ratio & Format

Screen formats are determined by the specific aspect ratio of the screen. Aspect ratio is nothing but the fractional relation of the width of a video image compared to its height .

Projection Screen – Sizes

Screen sizes and formats are decided by a projector type. Screen sizes are mostly measured diagonally in inches . Following are some of the standard sizes & formats based upon which one can decide an option .
